The Parish Plan for
Upton-by-Chester & district

The Parish Council would like to draw up a Parish Plan in consultation with residents

At the April 2003 Parish Annual Assembly, Cllr Robert Thompson gave a presentation on a proposed Parish Plan. However, to date the response from the local community has not been sufficient to embark on the formal process of creating a plan.

What is a Parish Plan? It is a structured programme that analyses the issues facing the Parish and puts in place and expedites an action plan that prepares the Parish for the future (in effect it is a template available for residents), a template that will be used by the Council to address tomorrow's Upton. More importantly residents would be involved and consulted throughout and will have a real say in influencing the direction Upton parish will follow in the future. With grant funding available, it would not add to your council tax bill but it would present a coherent and involved plan that will give each and every one of us something to aspire to.

If you are interested in getting involved to make this happen, please contact the Clerk
