UPTON BY CHESTER & DISTRICT PARISH COUNCIL

Meeting of the Planning Committee of the Upton by Chester & District Parish Council held on Monday 19th October 2009 at the Pavilion, Wealstone Lane, Upton, Chester.

Present:          Cllr David Evans (Chairman), Cllr Jean Evans, Cllr Gerald Grant, Cllr Pat Lott, Cllr Paul Lowry, Cllr David Savage and Cllr Mil Williams

Resolved:       Apologies were received from and Cllr Gill Jordan, Cllr Robert Thompson

 

2.         DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST:

No declarations were received.

 

3.         TO CONSIDER PLANNING APPLICATIONS:

           

a.         40 Parkgate Road – Change of use from offices to 2no HMO’s (House in multiple occupation).

 

            No objection

 

b.         27 Upton Lane – Demolition of detached garage and construction of two storey side extension and single storey rear extension.

 

            No objection

 

c.         Cherry Bank, Upton Lane – Crown reduce 1 cedar and fell 1 birch

 

            No objection, but commented that there was neither a house number or location plan.

 

d.         19 Rosewood Avenue – To erect porch and single-story side extension.

 

            No objection

 

e.         8 Orchard Close – Two storey extension at side, single storey extension to rear and installation of pitched roof over porch.

 

            No objection

 

f.          76 Weston Grove – To install 1 no.illuminated fascia sign

 

            No objection

 

 

 

 

g.         Countess of Chester Hospital – Extension of existing single storey clad portal frame steel structure to include mezzanine floor.

 

            Members were concerned with regard to the loss of a substancial number of car parking spaces.

 

h.         Countess of Chester Hospital – To erect single storey flat roof extension to Oral and Maxillofacial Unit department.

 

            No objection

 

i.          68 St james Avenue – Conservatory to rear.
