UPTON BY CHESTER & DISTRICT PARISH COUNCIL

Meeting of the Planning Committee of the Upton by Chester & District Parish Council held on Monday 12th June 2006 at The Pavilion, Wealstone Lane, Upton, Chester.

1.                  APOLOGIES:

Apologies were received from Cllr David Capstick, Cllr Robert Thompson and Cllr Jill Houlbrook.

 

2.                  DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST:

No declarations of interest were received.

 

3.                  TO CONSIDER PLANNING APPLICATIONS:

           

a.                   100 Heath Road – Change of use of part of garden into a small commercial parking area.

 

                        Members object on the following grounds:

 

1.                    It will cause more traffic problems than it overcomes just to create two parking spaces.

2.                    The vehicle entrance will be too close to a busy junction.

3.                    Members are concerned that the proposed solid gates and fences will block the view for emerging vehicles.

4.                    Members do not feel there is adequate turning space to stop vehicles having to reverse out onto the main road.

 

b.                  88 Weston Grove – Conversion of retail storage unit (first floor) to residential 2 bedroom flat.

 

                        No objection

 

c.                   Springfield, 5 Demage Lane – Demolish existing property and construct new dwelling and garage.

 

                        No objection

 

d.                  Warren Bank, 79 Mill Lane – Rear single storey extension with bedroom over part to form two storey, new porch to front.

 

                        No objection

 

e.                   Greenacres Court, Acres Lane – Fell and replace 1 spruce.

 

                        No objection

 

f.                    Nursery Cottage, Liverpool Road – Porch.

 

                        No objection
