UPTON BY CHESTER & DISTRICT PARISH COUNCIL

Meeting of the Planning Committee of the Upton by Chester & District Parish Council held on Monday 3rd July 2006 at The Pavilion, Wealstone Lane, Upton, Chester.

 

Present:         

Cllr Caroline Mosley  (Chairman), Cllr David Capstick, Cllr David Evans,

Cllr Jean Evans, Cllr Jill Houlbrook, Cllr Patricia Lott and Cllr Robert Thompson.

 

1.                  APOLOGIES:

No apologies were received.

 

2.                  DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST:

No declarations of interest were received.

 

3.                  TO CONSIDER PLANNING APPLICATIONS:

           

a.                   10 Marina Drive - Replacement garage and conservatory

 

                        No objection

 

b.                  Countess of Chester Hospital – Single storey extension to medical day unit to provide an 11 bay ward and support rooms.

 

                        No objection, but Members are very concerned that further development is proposed again without having dealt with the current parking                            problems.

 

c.                   Countess of Chester Hospital – Demolition of buildings within the Health Park.

 

                        Members strongly object on the following grounds:

                                As the buildings are listed, for reasons of heritage and conservation they should be retained and used within the new development, but the new buildings must be                                                 sympathetic to these listed buildings.

 

d.                  Land to the rear of 44 Long Lane – Construction of two dwellings.

 

                        Members object on the following grounds:

                               

1.                    Over-intensive for the size of the plot.

2.                    There are already drainage problems in the area

3.                    Increased traffic onto Long Lane by busy junction.

 

e.                   22 Stanton Drive – Decking area to rear of house.

 

                        No objection

 

 

f.                    Acton Hey, 8 Earls Oak – First Floor extension over garage, ground floor side extension.

 

                        No objection,  Members would like to see the foliage on the boundaries retained.

 

g.                   60 Tewksbury Close – First floor extension

 

                        No objection

 

h.                   7 Rushton Drive – Two storey extension for disabled person

 

                        No objection, but Members found it difficult to visualise from the plans how the flat roof/pitch roof would look from the road.

i.                     Gawer Curt, Gawer Park – Non illuminated signage

 

                        No objection

 

j.                    37 Caughall Road – Single storey extension to include car port, new dormer to existing roof at rear.

 

                        No objection

 

            k.         60 Daleside – Extension and alterations.
