Members have no

f.
Members have no alternative but to object to this
application on the following grounds:
a. Parking
issues have not been addressed
b. No evidence
has been given as to expected customer numbers
c. No indication has been given as to extra security in respect
of drugs being stored on the premises.
Additional Information
The surgery does not have
either its own access from the highway or its own car park.
The building is reached
across land owned by the Parish Council for which there is a
Right of Access to a doctors
surgery only. There would need to be a
new agreement
agreed with the Parish
Council for Right of Access to a Pharmacy.
There is also an
agreement in place for the use
of 8 parking spaces on the Parish Council owned car
park but there are already
well in excess of this number of vehicles attending the
surgery. Whilst the surgery
patients will not create further traffic as they will pick up
their prescriptions at the
same time as their appointments, there are many people in the
Council believe that this
will probably result in an increase of traffic on the car park.
The area where the pharmacy
is proposed is to the rear of the building and well off the
main road and is in an unlit
area of an evening. Members are
concerned about levels of
security needed in respect
of the stored drugs.
4. NOTICES:
