Meeting of the Planning Committee of the Upton by Chester & District Parish Council held on Monday 12^th April 2010 at Upton Westlea School, Weston Grove Upton, Chester.

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST:

No declarations were received.

3. TO CONSIDER PLANNING APPLICATIONS:

a. Weston Grove Service Station – demolish garage and erect single storey building comprising 4 units (Use classes A1 – A5) with parking and landscaping.

Members object on the following grounds:

1. Roof needs to be tiled to blend in with neighbouring properties.

2. Should be restriction to Use Classes A1, A2 and A3

3. Concerns of inadequate size of rear service yard.

4. Access to goods delivery bay inadequate

5. Restricted access for emergency vehicles.

b. 15 Appleton Road – Two storey extension to front.

No objection

c. 53 Kingsmead – Two storey side extension

No objection

d. Grange House, 76 Upton Park – Remove 3 conifers.

No objection

e. 73 Upton Drive – Erect single storey side/rear extension

g. Wealstone Residential Home – Non-illuminated facia and post mounted signs.

Members object on the grounds that it is inappropriate for a residential area.
