UPTON BY CHESTER & DISTRICT PARISH COUNCIL

Meeting of the Planning Committee of the Upton by Chester & District Parish Council held on Monday 7th April 2008 at The Lecture Theatre, Chester Zoo, Upton, Chester.

2.         DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST:

No declarations of interest were received.

 

3.         TO CONSIDER PLANNING APPLICATIONS:

 

a.         24 Bache Drive – Single storey side and rear extension incorporating a new garage

 

            No objection

 

b.         32 Demage Lane – Part demolition of existing single storey extension, extend existing kitchen, pitched roof and garage coversion to dining room.

 

            No objection

 

c.         Countess of Chester Hosptial – Relocation of emergency generator inc. weather proof housing with appropriate screening/landscaping.

 

            No objection

 

d.         The Wheatsheaf inn – Smoking shelter to right side of front elevation.

 

                        Members object on the following grounds:

 

a.             The visual amenity of the area as the proposal is for the front elevation of the premises.

b.             There is plenty of space to the rear of the building for this facility.

c.             The proposed does not match the existing building.

d.             As the access is directly from the building, the shelter is in fact part of the main building and therefore subject to the new smoking legislation.

 

e.         27 Cotebrook Drive – Extension to garage and porch

 

            No objection

 

 

 

f.          5 Delvine Drive – Rear conservatory, single story extension toside and demolition of garage.

 

            No objection

 

g.         Countess of Chester Hospital – Amendment to previous approval to elevations of Apartment Block and siting of bat barn.

 

            No objection, but members would like to see the Dovecote pigeon proofed.

 

h.         56 Alwyn Gardens – Second storey extension to side of dwelling and attic conversion.

 

            No objection

 

i.          60 Cross Green – Two storey and singel sotrey ext and alterations.

 

            No objection
