UPTON BY CHESTER & DISTRICT PARISH COUNCIL

Meeting of the Planning Committee of the Upton by Chester & District Parish Council held on Wednesday 19th August 2009 at the Pavilion, Wealstone Lane, Upton, Chester.

Present:          Cllr David Evans (Chairman), Cllr Jean Evans, Cllr Gerald Grant, Cllr Gill Jordan, Cllr Pat Lott and Cllr Robert Thompson

1.        APOLOGIES:

Resolved:       Apologies were received from and Cllr Mil Williams and Cllr Paul Lowry,

 

2.         DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST:

No declarations were received.

 

3.         TO CONSIDER PLANNING APPLICATIONS:

           

a.         22 Demage Lane – One and two storey , side and rear extensions

 

            No objection

 

b.         21 Egerton Drive – Remove existing single storey garage at side and replace with two storey extension.

 

            No objection but are concerned about parking spaces on the plot.

 

c.         1 Marlow Avenue – Porch and Roof alteration to provide first floor and perimeter fence to 1.12m

 

                        Members strongly object to this proposal on the following grounds:

                        a.    the fence is out of keeping with the area, being open plan.

                        b.    the fence creates a blind spot when driving around the bend on St James Avenue

                        c.    concerns about the windows of the new development overlooking neighbouring properties.

 

                        Can you please note the following:         A new driveway has recently been installed on the property for which the Parish Council did not see a planning application.  Members are concerned                about the intended future use of the property and if permission given would like to see it conditional upon the property being used solely as a residence.

 

d.         2 Rushton Drive – Conservatory to rear

 

            No objection

 

e.         9 Lawn Drive – Replacement dormer, roof tiles and porch

 

            No objection

 

f.          36 Meadowsway – To erect single storey extension and part

            demolition of existing garage/store

 

            No objection

 

g.         25 Pine Gardens – To erect single storey side and rear extension.

 

            No objection

 

h.         Countess of Chester Hospital – Creation of 27 parking spaces with associated landscaping and access.

 

            No objection
