Meeting of the Upton by Chester and District Parish Council held

on Monday 28th November 2005, at The Pavilion, Wealstone Lane, Upton, Chester

                       

PRESENT:

Cllr. Daphne Coles, Cllr Gerald Grant, Cllr. Peter Griffiths, Cllr. Gill Jordan,

Cllr. Patricia Lott, Cllr. Caroline Mosley, Cllr Chris Reeve, Cllr. Bryan Smith

 

1.         OPEN FORUM:

 

No matters were raised.

 

2.         APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE:

Apologies were received from Cllr Phil Pearn, Cllr Geoff Edwards, Cllr Robert Thompson, Cllr Liz Warrington and Cllr David Evans.

 

Resolved:       that the absence is noted.

 

3.         DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST IN ITEMS ON THE AGENDA:      

No declarations of interest were received.

 

4       MINUTES:

Resolved:      

(a)        that the minutes of the Parish Council meeting of 24th Oct  2005 be confirmed as a correct record.

(b)        that the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting of 24th Oct 2005 be confirmed as a correct record.

(c)        that the minutes of the Finance Committees meeting of 7th Nov 2005 be confirmed as a correct record.

(d)        that the minutes of the Playing Fields Committee meeting of 22nd Nov 2005 be confirmed as a correct record.

 

5.         PARISH COUNCIL MEETING – 24th October  2005:

Buses on St James Avenue

The Clerk reported on an the update from the Highways Department.  The Chairman informed members that she felt that the Parish Council should still pursue the matter and suggested that a small group be formed to discuss a way to proceed.

 

Agreed:           that the Chairman, Cllr Patricia Lott, Cllr Liz Warrington, Cllr Geoff Edwards and Cllr Peter Grififths arrange to meet to discuss this matter.

Lease of Greenfields

Cllr Patricia Lott asked if there had been any further development with regard to a meeting with the Housing Trust.  The Clerk informed the meeting that she had not yet received a reply, but would pursue the matter.

 

 

 

 

6.         PLANNING COMMITTEE – 24th Oct 2005:

Resolved:       that the resolutions passed by the Planning Committee of 24th Oct 2005 be noted.

 

7.             FINANCE COMMITTEE – 7th Nov 2005:

Resolved;       that the resolutions passed by the Finance Committee on 7th Nov 2005 be noted.

 

8.         PLAYING FIELDS COMMITTEE – 22nd Nov 2005:

Resolved:       that the resolutions passed by the Playing Fields Commi
