Extra Special Meeting of the Upton by Chester and District Parish Council held on Tuesday 15^th December 2009 at The Pavilion, Wealstone Lane, Upton, Chester

Also Present: Dr Martin Carey, Project Manager.

John McLintock of Upton Youth Club.

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE:

Resolved: Apologies for absence were received from various members.

2. YOUTH CLUB INVOLVEMENT IN THE COMMUNITY BUILDING PROJECT:

Dr Carey reported to Mr McLintock on the progress made so far on the project and asked him if the Youth Club were supportive of the project, if they would like to be involved and if they would agree to relinquishing their building to enable the land on which it stands to be used for development to raise funds for the project. Mr McLintock told the meeting that the Youth Club was very supportive and saw it as a good opportunity. He also said that they would agree to relinquish their current building to move to the new building if possible with the proviso that the old Youth Club was not knocked down before the community building was complete unless an alternative was found for them.

Resolved: that Mr McLintock put the views of the Youth Club in a letter to the Parish Council and Dr Carey.
