UPTON BY CHESTER & DISTRICT PARISH COUNCIL

Meeting of the Playing Fields and Environmental Initiatives Committee of the Upton by Chester & District Parish Council held on Monay 3^rd November 2008 at the Pavilion, Wealstone Lane.

Present: Cllr Jean Evans (Chairman), Cllr John Butler, Cllr David Capstick, Cllr Gerald Grant, Cllr Pat Lott, Cllr Chris Reeve

and Cllr Robert Thompson

1. APOLOGIES:

Apologies were received from Cllr Gill Jordan, Cllr Theresa Bartliff and

Cllr Bryan Smith

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST:

No declarations of interest were received.

3. REPORT ON PLAY AREAS:

The Clerk reported on the play areas owned and managed by the Parish Council. Cllr Robert Thompson suggested that the City and County Council’s be approached about promoting the use of the tennis courts and bowling green.

Resolved: (a) that the reports be noted.

(b) that the clerk contact the City and County Councils

4. BUDGET FOR 2009/10:

Members discussed the budget requirements of the committee for 2009/10 and also looked at charges for facilities.

Resolved: that the budget figures be put to the Finance Committee.

Resolved: that the date be set at a later time.
