3.         EQUIPMENT FOR THE PLAYBUILDER PROJECT:

The Clerk reported that she had put in an application for the Playbuilder Project and produced pictures of a few pieces of equipment that would be suitable for 8 – 13 yr old girls that she had indicated on the application.  The Clerk also reported that some consultation was necessary to meet the application criteria, but that this could be done if successful if obtaining grant monies.

Resolved:       (a)        that the report be noted.

                        (b)        that the consultation be done if successful.

4.         REPORT ON PLAY AREAS:

The Clerk reported on the play areas owned and managed by the Parish Council.

Resolved:       that the reports be noted.

5.         GRIT BOXES:

The Clerk reported that the cost of a gritting box was around £120 and that it would cost £135 for the rock salt to fill it each time.  The Clerk also informed Members that she had been advised very strongly to lock the box at all times and that this would be a problem with the Parish Council having no staff on duty in the winter months to be able to use it.  Members discussed the current need for pavilion users in the winter months which was negligible and that it would be more appropriate to wait until the new community centre was built and incorporate one there.

Resolved:       that this matter be deferred until a later date.

6.         HIRING OF FACILITIES FOR FAMILY DAY BY UNITED REFORM CHURCH:

The Clerk told Members that she had received a request for the use of Wealstone

this.

Resolved:       that the charge be set at £100.
