In January 2009
an 'Upton-by-Chester Community Network' was
launched to co-ordinate the organisation and promotion of community
activities based in the local area.
This network of 20+ local people
represents the major local community organisations (schools / churches /
village hall / scouts & guides / sports venues / RBL / etc
.
During early 2009
- this on-line noticeboard will be developed to provide a comprehensive - and
readily updated - calendar and inventory of local activities and events
The long-term moderation and updating of this facility is essential and a
strategy has been resolved
The design policy of
this development - is to 'rough-out' the pages and navigation - while compiling some initial data.
Page layouts, graphics and navigation can then be tuned to make it a 'better
experience' for the visitor.- whatever computer / browser they are using
Links to activity websites will
be used wherever appropriate – local activities will still benefit from
having their own sites.
Please be patient with the construction.-
compiling of data is NOT being prioritised but rather as suits the design

While under construction this ‘community notice-board’
has deliberately been embedded ‘in the depth’ of this website.
Once seen as useful to the community then its location can be agreed.
